A book update for you...
Got the final edit back last week and it's a bit over 70,000 words. Right now, the print version is at layout and we're in the process of auditioning voice talent to read the audio version.
A few people have asked me why I'm not doing the audio version myself, given my background in radio and the fact that I've voiced the last two books I've released. The reason is because it takes me forever to get something good on tape and, given that this book is significantly longer than my last two, hiring somebody else to read it will make sure it gets done in a reasonable time.
Other things you should know:
1. Release will be January 2013.
I could do it earlier, but don't want anything to get lost in (insert your favorite holiday here).
I realize the Maya Calendar says the world is supposed to end next month, so I'm taking a chance by waiting. Should that happen though, you probably won't need this book.
If for some reason I'm raptured into the clouds and you're left here without me, rest assured the book will still be released, as I've given the necessary information to do that to three of my most evil friends.
2. The title is no longer $100,000 Musician, but the book still has the power to make you just that (or more).
The image above was something I had done, obviously, before the title change. It's not pretty watching sausage get made, is it?
3. You will get a free copy.
The ebook will be free. People think this is crazy, but at this point in my career, I'm more interested in spreading ideas that can change the music business than making a few bucks. I don't want a few dollars to be a barrier to people getting this very important information.
