When I released my book, Six-Figure Musician, earlier this year, I never imagined it would be such a hit outside the music business community. Shortly after its release though, I was getting emails and calls from authors, bloggers, and others in similar industries asking for clarification about how techniques I'd developed to market music would help them to market their creative projects.
In short, people wanted to know how they could take advantage of techniques musicians were using to build authority, grow their audiences, and make money while spreading their messages. I was intrigued, so I started a new blog and got writing...
It was an "experiment" at first and I wasn't sure if it was going to stick, so I didn't mention it to anybody. Now that it looks like something I'm going to keep going with, I'm announcing it here.
The new site is called Big Bold Impact. It's very similar to what you'll find here, but a little more broad in scope. Because of this, I'm able to dive even deeper into marketing and, if you can connect the dots, I know you'll find some good ideas you can use to sell more music, get more people to your shows, and make more money in the music business.
There is also a podcast.
BigBoldImpact.com is the address and, like this site, you can access it from the web. Alternatively, there is a feed, if you'd rather read the information in another way.
As for MusicMarketing.com, nothing is changing. I'll still be here, as well as on the podcast, with very specific advice for musicians and how you can make more money in the music business.
The kind of things you'll see there...
Hope to see you at the new site!
